However, the cause of failure is more irritating than ever before. The battle gets harder based on the difficulty, and as this fight is a cutscene, upon failing a button input, it ends in Leon's death and having to restart the entire scene from the beginning. Though not an overly long fight, it can become pretty annoying. This title was one of the first games created by Quantic Dream , and for its time, it was revolutionary, as it was one of the first games to have Quicktime Events based around the story, and they've carried on that tradition.
Indigo Prophecy had a lot of QTE's that the player had to memorize, they weren't based on the timed button presses of games nowadays. The user got shown a set of commands that then disappeared, and then they had to input the same commands in the same order, but because of how QTE's worked in Indigo Prophecy, by using the two analog sticks instead of the face buttons, it was much harder to memorize.

Well, having QTEs in a touch screen controlled game, of course. This was illustrated perhaps best in the final boss battle of the game linked to above , where the stakes depended solely on your ability to whip the stylus out and begin to doodle on your touch screen at short notice.
