Hey Richard I was wondering if you found out what was causing the network error. I too have an issue with the network connectivity dropping with the LM card although the computer is an HP SFF with XP pro SP3 and like you mentioned it looks like the problem only occurs when the computer is connected to the domain. I do however have several errors that show up in both the application log and System logs when the network issues begin. I contacted HP and have updated all drivers and even reconfigured the PC's from the restore disks.

If it's a Dell Optiplex or similar variant from say HP, etc I think the end-result is this is based on a the Intel Q45 chipset based motherboard. But I think they use the Q45 chipset as well.
